Top Gear has once again chosen to use Raptor Protective Coatings while filming the latest episode!

RAPTOR Write Up In The Landy view story

There are people who work for Land Rover, and people who work on Land Rovers. Luke Ogden is both. When he’s not doing his day job for JLR, he’s normally to be found with some sort of project on the go – and when they’re finished, they tend to be very well worthy of his employer’s name. This classily restified 90 Truck-Cab is the latest – and it’s every bit as good as it looks.

The duo lined up alongside 48 other teams and entered into the true spirit of the event by donning the most perfect fancy dress possible for a company famed for its RAPTOR coating… inflatable dinosaurs! Jason, who arranged for an aging Toyota Land Cruiser to be covered in the highly durable and distinctive coating, said: “What an event, what a way to spend a couple of days making new friends and further cementing relationships. RAPTOR Trial success with Bristol Waste view story

RAPTOR TRIAL SUCCESS AS THE TIDE OF TIME IS STEMMED ON RUST RAVAGED LORRIES. The fleet manager for Bristol’s waste disposal operation believes the use of Raptor protective coating developed by U-POL could extend the lifecycle of his heavily corroded vehicles by at least two years. Iain Fortune, who oversees the daily use of the city’s fleet of 284 collection vehicles, freely admits to being “astonished” by how instantly effective the protective system produced at the company’s Wellingborough factory has proven. He claims a trial over the winter whereby two vehicles that were ravaged by rust caused by acidic foods collected from the kerbside were treated with Raptor and that the corrosion that was literally eating away at the metal units has ceased. In addition, as Bristol Waste used U-Pol’s Made To Order product pre-tinted to their branded colour, the vehicles instantly looked fresh and corporate.

Innovation for the Commercial Vehicle Market view story

U-POL is delighted to be returning to the CV show in April this year with new additions and product innovations as part of its Raptor Protective Coatings System. As part of its new offer Raptor Coating can now be tinted to almost any RAL colour that a client requires. The introduction of Made To Order Colour ensures the product is mixed at U-POL’s Northamptonshire production facilities to meet exact corporate brand requirements whereas previously the unrivalled protection barrier was only available in black or a tintable version. This new and exciting development gives a factory standard, ready mixed and ready for use product that can be supplied in virtually any RAL colour and will match all Fleet Managers brand requirements – such as a Sainsbury orange or a John Lewis green.
